Antibacterial, antioxidant and physicochemical investigations of tin dioxide nanoparticles synthesized via microemulsion method

Abstract The Tin dioxide nanoparticles (SnO 2 NPs) were synthesized by modified microemulsion method and screened for antibacterial antioxidant applications. crystalline nature was explored using x-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis the calculated crystallite size is 24.68 nm. morphology examined scanning transmission electron microscopies (SEM TEM) particles based on TEM image 79.10 elemental performed energy dispersive (EDX) only desired elements detected. optical activity investigated diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS) band gap derived via Tauc plot 2.82 eV. surface functional moiety detected Fourier transform infrared (FTIR). agar well diffusion technique manipulated to screen SnO NPs against selected bacteria whereas DPPH free radical scavenging also performed. of both samples noticed increase with increasing amount in experiment. IC 50 value 1.50 g found more active than ascorbic acid 2.42 g.
